I was walking down the neighbourhood. The sun was not forgiving that day, it made my skin burn but it was tolerable. I wore the shades my friend gave me for my birthday. My energy was entirely drained as the bag made the gravity on me pull stronger. The beads of sweat on my forehead fell continuously.
"Why was home so far away?" I thought to myself as I waited impatiently at the traffic light. No cars, no vehicles driving on the roads now. I wanted to ignore the red man but I hesitated. My stomach growled, at me. It seemed to growl more louder each time and I was hungry. Something caught my attention.
The bell of the ice-cream man. He was right across the road. Kids were lining up. I saw each of them smiling happily as they licked their ice creams. I was licking up my saliva. My stomach growled like a bear. "No, I have to wait, " I told myself. I saw my neighbour, MinJung taking the ice-cream from the ice-cream. It was not any other ice-cream. It was strawberry shortcake. my favourite. I wanted to resist the temptation but I just couldn't. Something boosted me.
"Okay, for the ice-cream," I breathed in, as if I was committing a crime, "For the hunger." I made sure there was no car at sight. It might be an exaggeration but I felt it was like the biggest decisions I had to made in life. After I ran with all my might. I was half way through, I knew I could do this.
The screech of the car braking froze me. I was almost there. The sight of the sports car made me stick to where I stopped. I was full of regrets, why didn't I choose to wait? But it was all too late. I squeezed my eyes shut. It was going to hit me, I guess. I felt something hit me and somebody's embrace, shielding me from the vehicle.

You will see a fatherly side of Donghae in this story. But don't worry, not that fast he and Yoona do *that one*, he adopted kids.
